July 30, 2010 Rebecca Pujol, RN, OCN® Jeff Pujol Rebecca is my loving wife. She is constantly receiving thank you gifts and cards from patients and their families for the compassionate care and support she had given them. She is a successful oncology nurse who has had several opportunities at upward mobility but she really cares about the patient and can't see herself as an administrator.
July 29, 2010 Edna Wilson, RN, BSN, OCN® Cindy I have had two cancer treatments with Edna's care. She is a true professional, but the patient is primary and Edna will always do whatever is necessary to devote the time needed. In addition to the characteristics listed on this form, she is passionate about healing cancer and her love for people is infectuous.
July 29, 2010 Eva Burgan, RN, OCN® Cindy In thinking about writing these comments, it is very hard to differentiate between Eva and Edna. Both are very unusual in the medical field due to their intense positive and personal care/concern for patients. I don't know how to characterize this any better than I have really hated the two days I was told that I was done taking radiation because they made my day so special!
July 29, 2010 Mary Diffendall, RN, OCN® Barry Just about all of the qualities listed on the form would apply to Mary Diffendall; she's special! She has been caring for me for more than three years, and while her professional and medical skills are outstanding, it's her human-side that really stands out. Mary can never do enough for you; making you comfortable during the long infusion process, bringing coffee and goodies to keep you going. She explains clearly, yet simply, the details of the treatments we're undergoing, and has even assisted me in obtaining financing for a very expensive drug not covered by my insurance. Mary Diffendall is truly my "Special Angel Nurse."

I went back yesterday after three years to see the oncologist. Mary was there - her usual joyous self, remembering my family members and asking how I was.
